This is also seems to be part of the Plateau Hike, so you may end up walking along other trails while making your way to Second Falls. Don’t worry, there are plenty of trail markers to get hikers to the right destination.

Picture this: I’m striding confidently toward Eagles Nest, ready for a day of exhilarating exploration. Suddenly, a mischievous gust of wind swoops in like a sneaky sidekick, snatching my hat right off my head and sending it careening into the great unknown. Naturally, I whirl around in pursuit, only to be greeted by an unexpected foe — a sneaky twig that seemed to leap out of nowhere!
In the chaos, my trusty sunglasses plummet to the ground as though they, too, wanted to partake in the spectacle. The twig’s dastardly embrace leaves an unwelcome mark on my forehead. As I touch the spot in confusion, my fingers emerge painted red!
It took a heroic effort to staunch the flow of blood with my handkerchief. After a few minutes, I couldn’t help but get mad with myself at the absurdity of my situation.
Then, a whimsical thought crossed my mind — was Zeus himself sending me a cheeky message at Eagles Nest in Morialta Conservation Park? After all, Prometheus suffered daily liver gnawing by an eagle as punishment! I could almost hear the echo of divine laughter in the wind as I did my best to stop the blood loss.

I’ve observed others confidently standing and sitting on the rocks below, but I must admit, it’s not something I would attempt myself. In summer, you only get to see a trickle of water.

Turn right onto Moules Road and continue until you reach the end of the road at Rostrevor College, then turn left and take a right onto Morialta Road. Follow this straight road until it intersects with Stradbroke Road. At this junction, you’ll notice Morialta Falls Road diagonally ahead. Take this road until you arrive at the car park area of Morialta Conservation Park.
