Olympia Comic Book Review & Rating
One thing I’m pretty sure of is that this Olympia trade paperback would make an amazing Olympia movie. It’s got that epic Superman II vibe, but what really makes it stand out is the clever twist of bringing the comic artist into the story — total genius. If you’re into Superman II, I think you’ll enjoy this Olympia comic. Honestly, I think it’d be even cooler if a film adaptation happened someday. Olympia’s got a ton of potential, and who knows — maybe one day it will.
I’d give this Olympia TP a solid 7 out of 10. It’s got a few flaws, but overall, it’s a pretty compelling story. One thing I personally wish is that Vilayne had a more menacing, evil look about him, because to me, he just wasn’t intimidating enough.
Before the main story kicks off, there is a heartfelt intro that shares how the comic was created, with some tragic elements that add depth. Overall, the 2020 Olympia TP by Tony Pires and Curt Pires, with art by Alex Diotto, carries a lot of sentimental value. They should be proud of what they’ve made. It’s a really interesting story with a lot of promise.
