Corfu seems to be the most popular Greek island setting for romance books. There’s a good reason why. The island is unbelievable!
Even so, I’m still a little bit surprised that so many romance books make use of Corfu.
I can understand why because one of my all-time favorite books is My Family and Other Animals by Gerald Durrell.
This classic book is hugely popular, which is why the true-life story has also been adapted in both film and TV series.
The beautiful setting in this book is from the island of Corfu.
The major difference, in this case, is that all of the romance novels shown here are works of fiction.
Many authors choose Corfu when writing their romance books set in Greece, though one seems to stand out way above the rest.
Mandy Baggot clearly loves Corfu, which is why she has written about the Greek island in so many of her books.
To me, it’s as if her one true love in Greece is Corfu.
